The documents produced by you in [undecipherable] of a claim of John Branham late a Private in the 1st [undecipherable] of light Dragoons, (which appears to have been assigned to Rodt Bigelow) has enabled me to adjust the same & have to the Treasury that the sum of One hundred & eighty one Dolrs is due to him, which after an examination in that D[epartment] a certificate of register debt upon Interest will [issue in the name] of John Branham which cannot be made use of agreeably the rules at the Treasury only upon his personal appearance [at] the Office or upon a regular power of Attorney to transfer the
