Sir,
Two of the Brass twenty four Pounders with their carriages and Implements are to be delivered to Capt Fredk Frye Commanding on Governors Island, the other as pr my letter of yesterday to Colonel Stevens— besides these I have ordered a number of Iron Six and four Pounders to your address from Albany, or rather immediately to Capt Frye if they can be landed at his Post immediately by the Vessel that brings them. this you will also be pleased to note that if necessary you may give your assistance to complete the Business. a number of nine Pound Shot may also be expected to arrive with the Guns.
[It is proper to note that the two Mortars only have us at first directed the others as above mentioned. S.H.]

I have also directed him to Send eight Six pounders, and one four Pounder Iron Guns with a number of nine Pound Ball. You will please to notify their arrival with you, when a further disposition will be made—
