I received your letter of the 4 Instt inclosing your recruiting account & vouchers, also muster & Pay rolls for March, of the detachment under your command. the former has undergone examination and found free of error, you will accordingly receive the balance due on it, being thirty eight dollars from James Read Esqre Collector at Wilmington on your giving them the necessary receipts for the same. The latter has also been examined and to it has been added the balance of your pay up to the 31 ulto and the pay of Samuel Baker a private on furlough which additions create an amount of two hundred & ten dollars & thirty cents, on which sum I have reported, and which is now awaiting the passing of the appropriation law for the present Year,
