Sir,
Your letter of the 10th ultimo, informing me of the receipt of sundry Vouchers therein referred to, has been duly received. I now transmit the Inlistments of my recruits, together with a Statement of my disbursements to them, exhibiting at one view the amount of Bounty paid each individual agreeably to the several vouchers heretofore transmitted.
The amount found due on my account, I would beg to receive through the Supervisor of Massachusetts in preference to the Supervisor of New York — in as much as I shall be unavoidably detained here a few weeks & could wish to appropriate some part of it for the use of my family.
I am, Sir your obed Servt
William Simmons, Esqr D Hale
