Sir,
Yours of the 20th instant is receive covering one address to Captain Depee which shall be sent him by a safe conveyance. In addition to the Payments made to the Troops of the upper posts as pointed out by my Statement transmitted to you on the 16th of February last, I have by order of the Commander directed to Ship made sundry payments to Officers and Men discharged amounting to upwards of 1000 dollars and the General is still making further Requisitions and therefore Him to send immediate information whether you expect I shall continue to pā the Troops at the upper posts or shall Major Iwar reimburse me and take up the Vouchers of payments now in my hands.
