War department April 27^th 1798 Sir Be pleased to deliver to Samuel Hodgdon Esq^r for transportation to Oswego for the use of the Garrison at that place the following articles viz. eighteen [underline: complete] Suits of Artillerists Clothing and Fifteen, Suits complete of Infantry Clothing one thereof to be Sergeant, also three Boxes of Musket Cartridges, One Garrison flag. one Scales and weights Two Ox Chains, One Steelyard eight Axes, Six Spades, Six Shovels, three Picks, Six Hoes, Six Scythes, three hundred weight of Ten penny Nails, two Coils of Rope two Setts Iron work and Gears for a Cart, One Sett of Black-smiths and one sett of Carpenters Tools and eight Camp Kettles. and for the use of a detachment now at Oswego which arrived there under Lt. Dransy Twenty five suits of Artillerists Clothing one thereof to be Sergeants. The last articles to be by themselves and marked for the use of the detachment lately under Lt.
