[No 75.] War department, April 26. 1798 Sir, Captain Edward Miller has been directed by me to proceed from Middletown in the State of Connecticut to Pittsburg, by the way of New Brunswick. You will be pleased to have in readiness and to annex to his command all the Recruits you may have inlisted. except a Serjeant Corporal two Music and as many privates as you may think necessary for your recruiting party. You will deliver him a list of such Recruits as he shall take, containing their names a description of their persons, an account of the bounty and Clothing each has received, the date of their several inlistments and the time to which they have been paid. You will send me a Return of the Articles necessary for their complete equipment that they may be forwarded to Trenton. You will inform me of Capt. Millers arrival & the time he will leave N.
