I received your letter of the 18 Instt enclosing the receipt of Lieut Philip Rodriguez for forty Dollars which will be passed to your credit, & your account of commissions for receiving & paying monies from this Department in the quarter ending 31 Mar last amounting to .............. Dr 111. 57
From which I have deducted the sum of ................. 15 —
being so much charged on payment made to George Fleming Military Store keeper at West Point for wood, the same being inadmissible at this Office, commissions being allowed only on monies sent directly from this Department
the balance of ninety six dollars & fifty seven cents, due you will be transmitted on your sending forward the receipt of Lieut Nehemiah Freeman for payment made to him of four hundred eighty nine Dollars & seven cents, which is included in the aforementioned account
