I herewith hand you a copy of the letter to Lieut Charles Hyde Pay master 1st U. S. Regiment, on the subject of his accounts; As they are of great magnitude & of a long standing, and he is now in the City, I have thought it proper to make this communication; that a settlement of his accounts may be effected previous to his leaving it.
