Salem April 23. 1790. Sir, In your letters of the 20^th September & 9^th October last respecting expenditures on account of mounting Cannon &c at Salem, you intimated that directions Should be given respecting the examination of the accounts and the balance in my hands and not having received a reply to my letter of the 14^th October I have to request your communication of the State of the accounts and the Steps I am to take respecting the balance.
