Sir, As soon as possible after the receipt of this letter, you will please to provide transportation and send to Pittsburg Fifty Horseman's and two hundred Common Tents of the best you have under your care; the Poles for them will not bear transportation, but you may put in as many as necessary to make the load, or loads, as the case may be. What the waggoners would wish in weight in this way, the transportation will cost nothing for they cannot go more than five, and Tents alone will not make a load— you [undecipherable] use govern in this matter. For the expense you may draw on me, as convenant to have it done at Pittsburg and send a copy of this Letter to Major Craig as your warrant for so doing— Let no time be lost— I am Sir.
