Pittsburg June 20th 1798
Sir,
Your letter of the 13th instant covering three small Invoices together with the News Papers is received. Apart of the Indian Goods is arrived by Daniel Fisher who in addition to the several Packages expressed in his Invoices has delivered a Bale No 2. Shawance's Annuities, weight, 3 Ct. 9 gr, contents unknown. — One only of Hamiltons Waggons is arrived.
On the 17th instant I found it necessary to draw on you in favor of Abner and Jesse Barker at ten days sight for Seven hundred and fifty dollars and yesterday in favor of General John Neville for one thousand dollars at same sight, both which drafts be pleased to pay and charge as usual.
The Iron Trucks for the Gun Carriages are immediately wanted. Shape they are some where far advanced on the road to this place the General being extremely anxious to have the Guns sent forward at the same time with the Galley No 1. which I expect will be launched in eight or ten days, every possible exertion being made to complete it by the first of next Month.
I am Sir, Your obedient Servant
