April 1798- I am favoured with your letter of the 9^th instant - your former letter by express on the same subject has been previously received and acted on - No time shall be lost unnecessarily in getting on the Tents and Camp [strikethrough: Kettles] - I have made a further payment of Five hundred Dollars to Capt Ernest, and have placed it to your account, you will Credit me and charge him accordingly. - Mr. Knox called on me to day with your letter an order in his favour and requests Twenty four hundred Dollars which I have agreed to pay - a Bill will not be necessary as I shall take a receipt for the payment on the order, and a duplicate as usual in my Books.
