In consequence of your request I have caused an examination, to take place of the Muster Rolls of the Massachusetts line, and finds that Buston Pike enlisted as a private in the 6th Regt. on the 7th. of January 1777. for the War, and was promoted to Corporal the 1st of Augst 1780: but cannot ascertain the time of his death.
The name of Samuel Scammel does not appear on any of the Muster Rolls of the late line of Massachusetts.
