The enclosed requisition was received this morning in a letter from Colonel Henely under date of the 21st Feb. The Stationary is in Store — the Quantity however called for seems extravagant — I should think one half would be a proportionate and full Supply — this you will determine — The hard ware must be purchased — Mr Simmons I conclude will furnish the Bells & Letters required.

By order of the Secretary of War send to your address the stores of kinds inserted in the enclosed Invoice and Bill of lading — A number of other articles are under order for your Ship, but unfortunately were not ready to go by this conveyance — We want the motivated Commissions exceeedingly the present mode is very defective — Captain Dunning consents to go along with of your Ship to make delivery of this freight. I will thank you to inform me what he arrives and also whether the delivery answers to the Invoice. The current news is detailed in the newspapers which I doubt not you receive — War seems too likely; the hostile Republick appear to be determined to bring every Government at their feet ours will not Submit —
