I have received your letter of the 6th instant, the bill you mention has been presented and honored. The [undecipherable] of Stores will come into my hands immediately and will be compared with the charges on my Books against the Department: In compliance with your general order in favour of Capt Ernest I have paid him one thousand Dollars, which is passed to your debit and you will debit him accordingly.
