Philadelphia 13^th April 1793 Sir I have received your letter of the 6^th instant, the bill you mention has been presented and honored. The [undecipherable] of Stores will come into my hands immediately and will be compared with the charges on my Books against the Department: In compliance with your general order in favour of Cap^t Ernest I have paid him one thousand Dollars, which is passed to your debit and you will debit him accordingly. Our arrangements are the order of the day with Congress — another Regiment of [undecipherable] to be raised, th twenty two four Sloops to be procured; [undecipherable] Fortifications to be erected all along our Sea bands.
