Sir
Phave received your letter of the 6th instant, the bill you mention has been presented and honored. The bision of Stores will come into my hands immediately and will be compared with the charges in my Books against the Department. In compliance with your general order in favour of Capt Ernest I have paid him one thousand Dollars, which is placed to your debit and you will debit him accordingly.
Our arrangements are the order of the day with Congress another Regiment of Infantinals to be raised, th twenty two pour Strops to be procured, accondiditions Fortifications to be erected all along our Sea boards. We shall have work enough Shortly.
