Sir, I have received your letter of the 30^th Ultimo — I will make a requisition for an assortment of Files and when received will send them to you without delay — As Hamilton's Waggon will be with you before this, it is useless to enclose another invoice of his Load — The Commissioners Communications to the President have been laid before Congress, and by order of the [House?] they are printing — Gallatin moved a vote of thanks to the President — the corruption of the Court of France it is Said is abundantly confirmed & some precious confessions appear — War seems inevitable — adieu.
