Sir
I have to acknowledge the Receipt of two Letters from Mr Peter Wagner bearing Date 2d of February and 8.th of March. The former would have been answered by last post had I not been on Business detached from this Place. I now enclose you a Copy of the list sent me from your Office with the Remarks and Alterations made from the one put into my hands L. C. Swan Pay Mastr Genl. As no Application has been made to me for Payment to these Men the Amount is in my hand Stated.
The Latter accompanied the blank Muster Pay and Receit Rolls which were very acceptable.
Our Regiment, Ford Artillery, and Vanrenpaleau's Troop, are paid to the 31 of July 1797 and no longer.
