Sir,
A Certain Isaac Phillips living near Lancaster received a valuable Load of Public goods on the ninth instant to transport to Knoxville in the State of Tennessee to receive at the same time one hundred and twenty five dollars to enable him to proceed. I have since been informed that from some unknown cause the Waggon over the [undecipherable: fort] remains at the Tavern of one Whiteman about two miles this side of Lancaster. Shall I trouble you to make inquiry into the business and state the facts to me and what is necessary to be done to get the goods on the way to their destination — any expence you may incur Shall [undecipherable] be — hear from you as early as possible. Direct our [undecipherable] to Mrs Anderson.
