An examination has been attempted to be made of the validity of the Claims transmitted to this Office for retained rations due the Pennsylvania Militia called into service in the Year 1794, to suppress an insurrection in the Western Counties of said State: and as the Return of Abb Cowperthwaits Regt signed by you, has been taken up first, I have to request, as further information is required, that you will as soon as convenient, give a call at the Office for that purpose —
