I received your letter of the 24th Instant enclosing three Receipts for Bounties paid by you which will be filed with those heretofore transmitted subject to a future examination & settlement.
Whenever Congress shall pass the necessary appropriations for the current year (which I have reason to think will be in the course of two or three days) the amount found due on the different Pay Rolls transmitted by you will be remitted without the smallest delay on my part.
