Herewith you will receive a receipt of John Habersham Esqr dated the 1 of January 1798, for one hundred and forty four Dollars and one Cent applied by him to defray the incidental and contingent expenses of the Department of War, in the State of Georgia; which receipt is to be annexed to a warrant to be issued by the Secretary of War on the Treasurer, in favor of said Habersham, who is to be charged and held accountable for the same in the books of your Office—
