Charlottesville, Va.
Sir:
I have received your letter of the 10th. Instant enclosing sundry receipts for bounties paid by you and for the hire of Usick which will be filed subject to further examination and settlement of your recruiting account.
Agreeably to your request I have caused application to be made at the Treasury Department to know the contract price of the component parts of a ration at Charlottesville & am informed that no accounts on that subject have hitherto been transmitted from that Post.
