Sir,
Philadelphia, 6 March 1798.
You have taken credit for three Anchors and fifteen fathoms and eighteen blocks of ten delivered Captain Samuel Nicholson in Kentucky in January last, but having omitted to forward his receipt for them, unless this is done you cannot obtain a credit for them with me. I wish you to attend to this business and send me his acknowledgement to warrant me making the proper entries.

Sir,
I cite Charles Brown whose private affairs are in my hands has sent me the enclosed account for extra Services rendered to the Indians under the order of the late General Wayne, with assurances that those Services should be remunerated by an allowance of ten Dollars a month. General Wilkinson under whose notice they have at length been allows only half that Sum — I will thank you for information in what way payment is to be obtained —
