I Saw one of your Clarks at the Stage office and Request it him to informe that this was two public horses at M^r Bakers after I Recived my order, to March to Frederick, I thought it would be Saving to take them along to put them to Some Farmer, on the 7 of March Lieut Parkinson called on me and told me that he had been Informed that I had two public horses that he must have on of them, that he was going to Fort Pitt on public busyness, Inclosed is his Recpt, I am Sir your most obedient & Humble Servant Peter Shoemaker Sunt Samuel Hodgdon Esq N.B. the horse that is hear is not fit to be sold at present he has got the Stamper Running out of his Nostrils P.S.
