Sir
I have received your letter of the 3d Inst enclosing sundry receipts for Bounty paid agreably to a List annexed to your letter. Enquiry will be made respecting James Ramsey, and you will be inform'd of the result.
The pay due your Rect [strikethrough: of E] is included in a Report from this Office to that of the Secy of War for Jany and is acted on except that of Issuing a Warrant which waits for an appropriation this will certainly take place in a very short time. It would now be difficult, & create confusion to separate the pay for December from that of January.
I am Sir
