Pittsburg 2^d March 1798 Sir, I have this Moment recieved your letter of the 23^d ultimo covering articles of agreement of Ship Carpenters and accounts of Monies advanced them to which the necessary attention shall be paid — The letter assigns to Maria Butler is also recieved and shall be immediately handed to her. James Hamilton, Waggoner, arrives on the 27^th ultimo with one Waggon by which he has delivered the Indian Goods and a few other articles. Have made a settlement with him for the transportation of the Cannon in Chiefs Stores at the same time Have prevailed with the General to consent to Hamilton the cost of the new Glasfes on their being returned to him in good Order. I am again under the necessity of requesting you to take the trouble of sending me for family use a barrel filled with good Coffee and Loaf Sugar and have also to beg the favor of you or M^r Harris to purchase and send me a few good dried fish, say 100lbs. I have by this Conveyance transmitted, assigned to you, three packets containing Vouchers of Issues of Provisions at Le Boeuf from July 1796 to May 1797 inclusive, Vol N^o 5 for July, August and September, N^o 6 for October November & December and N^o 7 from January to May inclusive.
