It may be proper to remark that unless these vouchers embrace the advances you received from Col. Nevill, additional vouchers must be produced or Col. Nevill, the balance must be refunded to the Treasurer of the United States, before a final settlement can be effected. Your Letter of the 27^th Nov.^r 1797 was answered the 30^th of January following; when you were informed of the am.^t rec^d from Col.
