Fort Oswego March 8^th 1798 Sir I herewith enclose you a Pay and Muster Roll of the Troops stationed at this place, up to this day — Also a Pay and Muster Roll of the Detachment of Artillery last arrived from West Point to the same period — You will observe that I have embraced several months in the enclosed Rolls which will make a smaller packet, and give you less trouble than if you were to examine the several monthly Muster and Pay Rolls — here you have every thing at one view — and I flatter myself you will find them accurate — I hope the Money may be forward[ed] by the earliest opportunity, that the Detachment last arrived may be paid before they go hence.
