of what a ship of the size you mentioned in your
letter may be built for
The other matters you mentioned
in your letter I must refer you to Col Thompson
who is now in Philadelphia and is much more
acquainted with those matters than I am myself
who will with pleasure give you every information in
his power — I am very much obliged to you
for your partiality to Portsmouth in the shipbuilding line
and shall feel myself highly gratified in giving you
every information in my power in that way —
