Your letter of the 17^th Instant has been duly received enclosing sundry receipts for Bounties paid by you and Pay Rolls for December & January last, the answer was delayed on account of the want of appropriations having passed in Congress for 1798. I expect they will pass in a few days when the amount of the latter will be remitted to you.
