[Pittsburgh 16. feby Isaac Craig Rec^d. 28^d Ans^d Same day] Pittsburgh February 16^th 1798 Mr, Enclosed herewith you will find a Muster Pay & Receipt Role of the Detachment now at Fort Fayette. You will observe that the Muster is made for December 1797 and January 1798, but the Receipt Role is for pay up to the end of 1797 only — the amount paid 361 ⁴²/100 dolls which sum you will please to place to my credit on the Books of your Office. In addition to the aforementioned Rolls you will find this accompanied by my account current as pay Master of the Troops at the upper posts made up to the end of the year 1797 on which you will see a balance appears in my favor amounting to 441 ²⁹/100 dolls. which sum you will please to remit as soon as convenient. An Estimate of Pay of the Troops now at the upper posts up to the first of February is now transmitted. But as there is a prob[undecipherable: ability] of the Detachment encreasing the estimate is not to be expected to be accurate. Blank Roles are much wanted. I am, Sir.
