Sir,
I have received your letter of the 9th Instant. The two questions of Spermacetti Oil have I conceive met with all commercial respect.
The letters received last night by the Secretary of State from I thence I apprehend the Spanish Bales are not yet. The how are given up to our Commissioners. It may even now, more than can be communicated via the Senate.

As I on the situation promises requests that a copy of Spermacetti Oil on a suitable task may be sent to Patterson for public use, I have have seen or heard I conclude answer to be given for this, namely, that with other liberal society to furnish them for the same, if not it may be forwarded.
