I Take the liberty of inclosing my account Current with the United States together with a Separate Account of Subsistance & extra expences. The latter I hope you will have the goodness to pay to Mr. McFallen as it was [undecipherable] not an officer [undecipherable] money is stopped Towards ballancing a public account — if you have had the kindness of honouring any drafts in favor of B. Brown & of Mr. Harrison — Lieut. McFallan will take them in part payment of the $[undecipherable] & receipt for the whole Amount — I beg to apologise for the trouble I have repeatedly given you with my accounts, especially at a time when public business & domestic misfortunes must have wholly engaged your thoughts — accept the assurance of the part I take in your loss — I have the honor to be respectfully
