Sir,
I have only a moment to acknowledge the receipt of your letters of the 19th & 20th inst & their enclosures. I have handed the comptroller your power & Mr Flanagan's voucher, I have also enquired into the business relative to Major Graige disbursements. If and the Auditors Report is made upon his as well as all those of Colo Harness Deputies to the 20th of June inclusive and no longer, why the Comptroller mentioned October I am yet to learn, for at present he cannot assign the reason. I believe all stands right. If I find otherwise you may rest assured the error shall be corrected. Your Drafts shall be honored as usual.
I am Sir, your most obedient Servant,
Samuel Hodgdon
Col. Inc Wilkins.
