In your Letter of the 12th inst you mention that "it makes no difference what "amount you are charged with on the Public "Books provided all expenditures for the same "time is carried to your Credit" — This I am well satisfied with, & confident the business must be so conducted — In mentioning the subject in a former Letter I was afraid that the Vouchers for the disbursement of money made by Major Craige would not be placed to my credit, although the bills he had drawn were charged to me — It seems my apprehensions on this subject were not ill founded for major Craige's Vouchers up to the 14th Oct. 1796 were credited to Col. O'Hara —
I have drawn two bills on you of this date — Viz — No 62 in favor of Clement Biddle at 15 days for 300 Dollars
No 63 in far. Cochrane & Thursby at 15 days
