I received your letter of the 10th Instt inclosing your Salary account from 1st October to 31st December 1797 inclusive amounting to One hundred & twenty Dollars which sum you will receive as usual from Jonathan Jackson Supervisor at Boston, on giving him the necessary receipt for the same — I also received by the Same conveyance two Bills one of Isaac Nicou for $ion & the other of Charles Sheldon for whith had amounting together to twenty five dollars sixty two cents — which I herewith return you that you may make Oath that they were for the use of the United States, and were used accordingly & that they were not included in any account previously rendered by you after which please to forwards them to this Office and the amount will be remitted you in the usual way
