R.P.O. 401810.] Pittsburg January 20^th 1798 Sir, I have received your letter of the 12^th instant covering a copy of the Comptrollers letter to you of the 18^th ultimo and to which [strikethrough: undecipherable] I have now in order to prepare the way for a General Settlement of accounts, transmitted a Statement of transactions between us, which you will please to examine. The 24 and 18 Pounders are not yet come to hand — nor can I believe they are on the way. — The two 8 inch Howitzers are still here not having any instructions to send them forward.
