Dear Sir, The bearer is Thomas Tredwell Jackson; an officer of reputation in Sheldon’s regiment of light dragoons, in the late war, and an Aid-de-Camp to Major General Lord Stirling. He has some business to transact in the offices of the War department. Your official aid, if required, will render him essential service, and in so doing confer an obligation, on Dear Sir, Your sincere Friend. Jno Stagg junr.
