[George Fleming, 10^th January 1798] [circular stamp: Received from [undecipherable] No[?] R[undecipherable] 10[undecipherable]] West Point January 10, 1798 Sir: I received your favor of the 22 of November last The 9 ultimo. It was delivered to me by a Captain Jee who goes in a sloop as master from near this garrison to New York. He told me when he delivered the letter, that the next trip he would bring the gun stocks. Unfortunately the ice has prevented his bringing them — they are now in New York. I have been informed M^r. Smith intends to send them here by land in good sledding. M^r. French is in want of a part of them immediately. I now inclose you returns of military stores & quarter master's stores [undecipherable] & received at this garrison from the 1 of October 1797 to the 1 instant.
