William Richard has empowered King & Crozier Merch[ants] to receive the Balance due him as paymaster [undecipherable] on his recruiting [undecipherable]; as those accounts are of an extensive nature & will require some Considerable time for examination I could wish to receive from [you] a copy of the final settlement you made with him, as Paymas[ter] with your Ideas on the balance which may be due him as we[ll] respect this Payment. It may arrive here before I can close accounts, indeed it will be necessary before that can take place.
