Sir
I have inclosed you by post the returns of Publick Store on hand at this post up to this day, also my account for expenditures for the last year, You will observe that I have sent you a Copy of a McHarrison rect for the four [brass] Cannon and the Morter with their apparatus, not having a Duplicate has obliged me to forward the Copy — I have long since had expectation that you would have given me orders to have the remaining Horses or their value recovered from the Horsemen late on the Western Expedition, The persons who now hold them refuse to give them up alleging that they ought to be paid for keeping &c. and in several instances they have sold & swoped them away, There is also in this State very considerable quantities of Arms and Stores deposited in the hands of the Officers on the late command and they are willing to deliver them up provided I was to send for them or defray the expense of Carting &c. am inclined to believe by inserting an advertisement in our Papers those [strikethrough: things] articles mought be bought closer and Shall leave Town in two or three Days at which time we will close our last [undecipherable]
I am with much respt
