Sir I have Inclosed a bill of debt, The Debt and costs of a Suit of Law against me for a Debt of Captain Thomas Wylie on the persumption that I had received his commutation and land Warrant as administrator - The Land warrant was made out for me but retained by your order because he was Indebted to the United States - now an Execution is made out against me but not yet leaved; therefore I want your advice what to do - If the warrant can be delivered to me as his assignee which I have a bill of sale and Power of attorney from Wilie for his Continental Land - then I can dispose of the same and pay you the one half, and this Creditor the other Nothing has ever come into my Hand as administrator therefore its very hard for me to pay his debits when nothing is yet got pray advise me what to do in this case - also please to know what done by Col Pickering.
