A pay Roll for yourself, Ensign Samuel Critchfield, and the Recruits under your command to the 30th of November 1797 has been stated from the Muster Rolls transmitted to this Office, and amounts to Four hundred & Sixty seven Dollars & [undecipherable] which sum you will receive from Edward Carrington Esqr Supervisor Richmond on your giving him duplicate receipts therefor; and disburse the same agreeably to the enclosed Receipt Roll; but previous to paying John Wilson it will be necessary for you to procure a Certificate from the paymaster setting forth the time he was last paid; or if you are acquainted with the circumstances yourself, your own Certificate will answer the same purposes by annexing it to the receipt Roll.
