On an adjustment made at the Treasury of the accounts of Tench Francis, as Agent for procuring supplies for the Department of War, commencing on the 25th of September 1792, and ending on the 27th of November 1793, it appeared, that he had purchased and paid for various parcels of goods, and delivered them to the following individuals. — Viz:

The said Agent having received a full credit at the Treasury, for the sums above mentioned, disbursed for articles, which were thus delivered by him without your
your intervention, I now transmit herewith, copies of the several vouchers and documents numbered from 1 to 8 inclusive, which ascertain the purchase by the Agent, and the delivery of them to the several persons whose names are above specified; on which you will be pleased to cause such entries to be made, as [strikethrough: the] several cases may require, in order to charge and hold the parties respectively accountable on the books of your Office, for the articles so delivered to each of them.
