The duplicate receipts for bounty [paid will be] placed with those already forwarded, and will remain subject to exam[ination] on a final Settlement. — Application must be made to the Secreta[ry of] War for recruiting money. — I find on application at the War Office [that I] have not been furnished with authority for mustering your men; I sh[all] therefore be under the necessity of suspending the Muster & Pay roll now[-] ed, until that is done, notwithstanding the money was forwarded [undecipherable] without having reference to this Object — I am &c W.
