Col^o W^m Heath Philldelp^a Sir I received your letters of the 30 Ult^o & 2^d Inst the latter enclosing the Copy of an account of Col^o Jos^h Laurel for rations &c &c. In reply I have to inform you that there are a number of accounts of a like nature filed here for liquidation, under the Instructions of the Secretary of War to the different Agents. They are after the whole have been collected to be adjusted and paid; this of course it will be proper to suspend with the others of a similar nature. The abstracts of Delinquents I shall be obliged to render to Congress in the 1^st week in January, this however need not derange you in your other Publick Concerns.
