I received your letter of the 9th Inst accom[panied] by the receipt roll of your recruits for november, the amount of [which on] examination will be entered to your credit.
The duplicate receipts for bounty [paid will be] placed with those already forwarded, and will remain subject to exam[ination] on a final Settlement. — Application must be made to the Secreta[ry of] War for recruiting money. — I find on application at the War Office th[at I] have not been furnished with authority for mustering your men; I sh[all] therefore be under the necessity of suspending the muster & Payroll now [sign]ed, until that is done, notwithstanding the money was forwarded [to you] without having reference to this Object —
