Sir The Treasurer of the United States
will remit you the sum of fifty five Dollars & too which you will pl[ease]
to pay to Serj.t Philip McWilliams and the men under his command stat[ioned]
at Fort Johnston being for their pay for September & October 1797 a[nd]
take their receipts for the same agreeably to the enclosed receipt roll wh[ich]
being completed you will please transmit to this Office that your acc[ount]
may be credited accordingly. I am &c
